What each stage means, and how to change it
- Introduced: you've connected the client and the agent.
- Agreement Signed: everyone has signed the referral agreement.
- Active: the client is shopping, or their home is listed.
- Under Contract: there's an accepted offer.
- Closed – Awaiting Compliance: it closed, and the referral fee or paperwork is still outstanding.
- Complete: it closed and every required checklist step is done.
- Inactive: the client went quiet or chose someone else.
Changing the stage
- On the referral's Overview tab, change Stage under Status on the right.
- Or drag the card to another column: on the Dashboard's Referral Pipeline, or on the Referrals page in Board view.
When you move a referral to Under Contract, we'll ask for the closing date. It can't move to Complete until the required checklist steps are done.
Marking a referral Inactive
We'll ask what happened: went with another agent, stopped looking, never responded, the sale fell through, or something else. The agreement's end date still matters: if the client comes back before it, the referral fee may still be owed.
